Hello!

I'm an absolute newbie of a switcher here in Mississauga, Ontario. I've spent my life in the suburbs of Toronto, went to Ryerson University, and now I work in occupational health and safety. I own far too many books, cds and dvds, most of which I will never read a second time. Lately, I've been wanted to leave it all behind, and live a minimalist life. And then I learned of switching.

I'm sure I'll make every naive mistake a new switcher can make. I only just discovered switching last weekend. I was looking for a Canadian site for ordering dvds, and stumbled upon flickflop.com. I thought it was an absolutely brilliant idea --having toyed with the idea of ebaying, but always finding it too much of a hassle-- until I discovered that one only had a selection of 25 dvds to choose from when offering a dvd for trade. A quick jaunt over to wikipedia brought me to SwitchPlanet, and I've been cautiously enthused about it ever since.

Please feel free to offer me advice, as a Switcher in general, and as a Canadian Switcher in particular.
