I don't know any sites that shows the amount a particular game is printed. But wikipediaing a certain game and seeing what is in production works. I looked up ICO, there was a reprint of the game, which kind of explains why it costs less on eBay nowadays. Cheers :)
Ya, garage sales are risky, but they usually have the price that makes it not so bad of a risk. I don't go to garage sales very often, but when I did, I didn't find such good deals as I was always too lazy to get up early enough to go when they opened so all the good stuff was gone by time I got there! Ha, ha! And I have never seen them at a flea market. Huh, I should start going....
So, is there a place that you can go to find out how many copies are out for each game. You know, like trading cards, you can look up how many they made for each card. Huh, sounds like I should have kept that ICO!!! Just didn't play it for soooooo long so didn't see a reason to hold onto it. It may have been worth a lot in time!
Hard to find and limited print. Those are what I consider rare. Such as Karaoke Revolution 1, 2, and 3. Yea, I enjoy eBay, garage/yard sales, and flea markets. The last two are risky though, especially if the game doesn't work, no guarantee they will refund the money.
O.k., first of all, I am a HUGE fan of eBay. I have gotten so many great cheap deals for games on eBay. I have seen a few here as well, but requesting them haven't worked out yet, so I don't know....
As far as rare games, I personally see ICO as a rare game, but was wondering what all makes you consider a game rare? I know ICO was such a great game and I would say the graphics were very rare, but just wanted to know what makes you (everyone) put a game into the 'rare' catagory.
Rare games that I know of:
Ico
Karaoke Revolution 1, 2, 3
Fatal Frame 2 and 3
Shadow Hearts Original (I'm not sure anymore)
There are a few others, but I haven't checked up on them for awhile now so I do not remember. =(
Hey I have PS2 games listed on SP for good prices check 'em out....Thanks
OK excuse me for being a PS2 rookie...which games do you guys consider rare? :)
I get some game from Gamestop/EB during the buy 2 get 1 free deal. If i know there is a rare game, I normally pick that one up and offload it to reduce the overall costs. Otherwise I search at garage sales and flea markets. Cheers :)
I get my games in a variety of ways. I get some of them here, buy some new, trade with friends, or sometimes get them out of the trading journal.

Not sure if it is a nationwide chain, but I get a lot of my games very cheaply at a place called "Buybacks" (you can also trade in old games, not that I do that anymore, since I switch everything). So if there is one near you check it out.
Ahhh, I see... Huh, we better look up our games before we get rid of any more rare ones... Could have been a great collection!
