The Indiana Jones series, Airplane, Animal House, Caddyshack, Die Hard, There's Something About Mary, Shawshank Redemption, and I could go on and on
The Simpsons, Lost, The Office, My Name Is Earl, Family Guy, most sports and pro-wrestling. Hey, we all have our vices. From the old days - Cheers, Beavis and Butthead (back to the vices), Night Court, and various game shows.
Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Smashmouth, Prince, Black Eyed Peas (see, I'm still kinda hip) and a slew of 80s one-hit-wonders
Can you still buy games for the Atari 2600?
Work is very busy these days, so please be patient when requesting. It may take a few days to get back to you, or to get to a post office. It's not going to take weeks or anything, but it may be a bit.
Hey Rock,
Still haven't seen anything in the mail? Dang, dang, dang! I'm actually feeling like a parent waiting for his child to rip open his presents on Xmas morn just to see the expression on the child's face.
The second part is almost a week behind the first, but I think the first one you'll get is gonna be the fave. I went "off the board" with the pick, but I'm feeling pretty darn confident. ;-)
Later, bro.

Mike,
Thanks for the switches on Slumber Party and Zombie Diaries. I ran out of packing tape, so I won't be able to ship them until Sat or Monday at the latest. Thanks agian.
Chris,
I've got the posters of The Dark Knight in my home, ready to go. I'd like to start the raffle Thursday or Friday, and have used the random calculator to select a number. Should I send it to you in a comment, or can I get an email address to send it to? I'll send the email to both my account and yours so everything is kept straight.
If comments to your profile are kept hidden, I will gladly send the number via that method. If not, please provide an email I can send the number to you confidentially.
My comments are kept private so if you need to send your email to me, just send a comment and it'll stay safe.
Thanks again, Chris. I'll craft a forum message to link a broadcast to if that's still OK.
Regards,
DB
Hey you!
I saw a random post of yours in the forums and realized I haven't said hello to you in ages. I don't really have anything relevant to say, but by all means, let me at least get a
HELLO SUEKI!
in your comment file. Heh. That was fun.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
Thanks for the green light on the poster raffle! I'll scribble up some verbiage for the broadcast announcement and post something more detailed in the forums to link it to. I'll also see if I can't get photos of them for the forums.
Let me know if it's OK to send you the winning number so it can be verified. Unless, of course, you want to jump in.
As far as the sports world goes, I could live with the Dodgers jumping in. The Cubs are to me what the Giants are to you, so anyone but them is fine. I'd prefer not to see the NL East win. The Mets annoy me and the Marlins will just sell off everyone in the off season if they win.
If it can't be the Cards (and thinks don't look too hot right now, though we're not out of it thanks to the Wild Card), I'd be happy with the Dodgers, D Backs or even Brewers. Then again, I think the Angels will take it all...
Football in St. Louis was a magic time from 1999 to roughly 2003. We've fallen on very hard times since then. I don't see this season being much better. If we go 8-8, it'll be a success.
Finally, on a tangent note - I'm going to see if I can't start writing again. Truth be told, I didn't slow down so much from lack of want or time as much as a lack of seeing new films or DVDs. By the time I saw something, it had been reviewed two or three times already.
But I'm going to hit some newer titles (Meet Bill is en route, and hasn't been tagged by anyone yet), and work is slowing down a bit. I have a week or two to catch some "now playing" films before some new projects hammer my dept.
OK, enough rambling. Take care, Chris. Thanks again.

Hey Chris, hope life is good!
I wanted to ask permission and assistance to hold a raffle. Prizes would be authentic movie posters. First prize would be first choice, second prize second choice and so on. I can do at least three - more if it goes well.
I suspect the two first prizes taken will be two different posters of The Dark Knight. (Yes, these are official movie posters from the film, and they're unused.) I can add at least a Hellboy II poster.
The plan is to use the random number calculator to select a number between 1 and 1000, and players will place a guess in the optional notes section when requesting a chance. Chances will be 5 SBs, with a bonus guesses available for purchases in "bulk." (Such as 50 SBs getting you 12 guesses instead of 10.)
Ron suggested I ask you to post a permanent note. Also, if you'd like to play, you are of course welcome to. If not, though, I'd like to email the number to you so everyone knows it's on the up and up. I can also take a digital photo of the posters if you'd like so you know they're kosher.
I can come up with the verbiage for the note with the rules and such. But I wanted to run it by you first before going further. I know there have been raffles in the past that ended poorly and created some bad feelings. The good news here is the posters are already available, so I can mail them to winners regardless of if I get 100 SBs or 10.
That's all I have. Thanks,
DB
PS If your Dodgers do make it to the post-season, do me a favor and make sure to knock out the Cubs. I'm a Cards fan, so it just wouldn't be right for them to actually win a World Series. (But don't tell Go Cubs I said that...)
Hey GamesRock,
The second one is out.
Also, do me a favor if you can. Take a picture of the messed up poster and email it to me if possible. I can send that to where I get the posters for a credit. Let me know if that's doable and I'll send my email addy.
Either way, the second one should arrive this week. Thanks again!
DB
Sorry, posters arrived early in the week but my wife shoved the poster tube in the closet and didn't tell me about it until tonight. Thanks!
