Hi Redd! Thank you for the warm welcome. I apologize for not having my profile filled out already... I should have done it right off the bat but I was kind of anxious to add my items and before I knew it I was getting multiple comments and requests for my items. I will definately check out the forums as i already have a few questions I'd like answered and I look forward to being part of the SwitchPlanet community. I am dvd addicted movie lover as evidenced by my collection and I hope to find some of the titles that are on my huge wishlist and that have eluded me so far.

Hello Joanne! You are correct - something seems hinky about this member's actions. The stipulations stand, however SCode members CAN offer the item to the general community if, after a week or two, there is no interest from the SCode members. Having said that, Phoenix really encourages people to try to get the general community to also adhere to the stipulations when they request the item.

Also, an SCode group member is ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed to raise the price on a priority item, EVEN IF they are offering it to the general community. So you definitely have reason to bring this to the SCode Group's attention. I haven't checked the group's message area yet, so perhaps you already have, but it you haven't mentioned this there yet, PLEASE DO - it is only through lots of members reading about it that the member in question will be addressed regarding this issue.

Also, I think it's Mdv (?) who is facilitating the group while Phoenix is away - I'll double check that for you, and then I highly recommend bringing this to their attention directly, as well. Good job monitoring priority items - it is only through each of us following up on the items weswitch,that we can ensure the integrity of the group remains in tact - well done! Redd.

Okay, I totally can't remember if it's Mdv or Mld who is filling in for Phoenix, so I posted a message in the group asking for clarification. Also, when you post your message to the group, I'd recommend mentioning the member in question by their profile name, so that everyone's clear on what's going on. :-)

Welcome! Just to let you know, as long as your accoung is set on 'Private', no one can see your items or any info anout you unless they are added as a 'friend'. I would recommend making your page 'Public', as people rarely trade with members who they can't see a bit about (especially if they can't see your items to request!). I received the first season of Extras today, but the first disc has something caked onto it which I can't seem to get off- I know you priced them at discount, and I have a hunch they were sent in by another member and you haven't had a chance to watch them, so I just wanted to give you a head's up that they might not work. I'm going on a mini-vacation for the next week, so I won't have time to watch them for a while, but I thought I should mention it now just in case the first disc doesn't play, at which point I"ll file a claim if necessary. Hello Lynn! Thank you so much for the continued switches!!! I wanted to let you know that the envelope I received had $1.66 worth of postage on it (three regular Canadian stamps @ .52 each, plus a 0.10 stamp) and it only costs $0.96 to mail a disc in clamshell within Canada. I checked the measurements of the envelope to ensure they fall below the maximum length/width amounts.You would only be saving $0.70, I know! But I thought with the amount of switching you do, that could add up - I seem to be FLYING through the stamps lately due toso much switching... which is a GOOD thing! :-)


Anyway, my apologies if you already have this info, but you're a great switcher so I wanted to make sure you had the latest postage rates and aren't losing any money.

Mailing to Canada: Disc, Clamshell= .96 / Disc, Clamshell, Artwork = $1.15

Mickeymor, I'm so sorry Land of the Blind didn't play for you!!! That is so strange, as it was in great condition, and played for us perfectly. We use our xbox 360 as a dvd player - is your dvd player relatively new, or an older model? I can't imagine what else could explain it. If you haven't sent it back already, you don't need to waste the postage - I won't be able to list it again if it won't play for some people. I'm not sure how to deal with this, as it's never happened to me before, but I'll DEFINITELY get your SBucs back to you - I've contacted SP admin to find out what the protocol is for this scenario, and will get back to you shortly.Thanks for your understanding, Redd.
