Perry Mason, Scrubs, Chuck, The Simpsons, M*A*SH, Arrested Development (R.I.P.), Malcolm in the Middle (R.I.P.) - really, I don't like TV and wouldn't watch it if it wasn't recorded.
"Daydream Nation" by Sonic Youth, "99%" by Meat Beat Manifesto, "Twisted" and everything else by Hallucinogen, The Pixies, everything from The Flaming Lips, anything by Coil, R.E.M. before they went major label, Mercury Rev, David Bowie, Crash Worship, the list is almost infinite.
Not a gamer, but enjoy the Thief series, "First Person Sneakers" and other stealth games like the Splinter Cell series, and crazy car games like Carmeggedon series and Auto Assault.
Martin Amis, Anthony Burgess, Cormic McCarthy, John Irving, Daniel Hofesteader, Richard Dawkins, David Toop, 1000 others....
OK, like others on the site, I'm taking a stand and will only trade with people who price their stuff similar to how I have mine priced. The point of this site is to recycle but I'll buy it from Amazon if it's cheaper. Try looking up prices first if you wonder why you get no trades? If you think my prices are too high, TELL ME! (nicely, please.) Make an offer, or we can do multiple things and I can discount - I factor in postage, so if you want 3+ things from me, I will definitely cut you a deal. To those who say "I paid $XXX for it" or "It's worth $YYY to me" - here's a Reality Check - things are only worth what someone else will pay you for it. Wish I could trade more but people ask so much I tend to buy off Amazon for cheaper, which sucks, that's not what this site is about. Props to everyone with fair prices.
You have to get that film transferred to video and up on YouTube! Look hilarious! Cheers, Wink
I'll try to get "Marie" to you as soon as I can but I loaned it to some friends who haven't watched it but are out of town on vacation. If I can find my spare key to their house, I'll get it, and get it in the mail to you ASAP. Very very sorry for the delay! Cheers, Wink
"Daydream Nation and Bottle Rocket and John Irving -- alright!"
Thanks! You've obviously got excellent tastes sir!
Daydream Nation is *still* my favorite 2xLP of all time!
Will have to look through your stuff and add as a friend, since we've similar tastes, mate! Cheers, Wink
Wow! I just read your utterly brilliant review of "There Will Be Blood" - and you put into words everything I tried to say on NetFlix but failed, and I too would choose "Magnolia" if only because Daniel-Day Lewis is too good an actor - if you're read Sinclair's "Oil!" upon which the movie is based, his character Plainfield is that opaquely amoral and the ending is that brutally surprising yet rather unexplained. A lesser actor might have made the movie more palatable - whereas Magnolia is flawed, took me years to finally "get", and is anchored by John O'Reilly, who makes the impossible human. Anyway, I don't know if you're a professional reviewer, you should be - send your stuff to your local papers! Best review I've read in a long, long time - thanks! Cheers, Wink
I will send Bad Lt in a clamshell case -- hopefully that should protect it well enough.
Howdy, just wanted to make sure you knew that the Heavy Metal Parking Lot you requested is a VHS tape, not a DVD. If you still want it or not, just reply and let me know. Thanks! Cheers, Wink
Wink Junior! LOL Your comment was one of the best compliments I have received all year (and it is only March!) I am thrilled that you are thrilled! I hope you enjoy the movie and the CD :D If I did not have to work tonight, I would be able to respond more fully to the very large paragraph you left for me in my comments :P I ALWAYS look forward to receiving messages and responding to them, but time is so thin for me lately. It is wake up (work, work, work) home, (work, work, work) and then like 6 hours sleep if I am lucky. :P Thanks for the words of praise, Oregonians are too sweet! Take care for now :)
