I received the dvd's today. Popeye looks fine. Jaws came with the book and outer sleeve only...no dvd. Oops...I just checked and reread your listing...the actual dvd was not included!

Sorry you had trouble with the disc. I had purchased it new and had no problem with it. It had only been viewed once. I can only wonder what happened to it in transit. I thought I had packaged it very securely.
Do you possibly have an alternate viewer? One of my older sets will occasionally have problems with a disc.
You had stated "I'm assuming since there's no note indicating otherwise, that this DVD is in good condition, with no scratches or marks??" since that was correct I thought you did not expect a reply. I appologize for my misunderstanding.

Thanks for responding. The disc itself has not readily apparent scratches covering a large part of the playing area - by "not readily apparent" I mean they are not visible when looking at the disc straight on, but when you rotate the disc they are visible. If you purchased this movie "new", you got rooked.

As for returning the disc, no worries, each switch is guaranteed by the site owners, and if they choose not to refund in this case, I am not out a lot of sb's. If you would like the disc returned to you so you can view this for yourself, by all means - I will then cancel the refund request with the owners. Let me know. Joanne

No, you place paper towel over the disc while it is still in the the retaining hub.

HI... Falcz .. Excellent Switch! However, the disc had come loose in the DVD case and caused a long scratch in the middle of the playing surface... That type of DVD case does that.. We usually place a folded paper towel across the middle hub to prevent case rash.... No worries for this switch! Thanks for the switch! .. Phoenix
