Welcome to the site and I'm glad to hear you like what we have going on. Your concerns over "inflation" are very legitimate and it's something that's on my mind daily. I'm continuously trying to think of new methods and new tools to help members price their items, find great deals and ultimately save a lot of money by switching the stuff they no longer use to get stuff they want. I think there are things we can do to keep the it a free market where members can price as they choose and overall have a fair market so people don't get taken advantage of. I think if a member adds a in demand item and they are the only ones who have it they should be able to demand a higher then normal price for it. In contrast if someone has an item that A LOT of people have and they really want to get rid of it they should be able to price it as low as they want in order to help them get rid of it. We have seen a considerable change over our first year with the majority of members switching with these two ideas in mind. There are still the few that price their items WAY to high but if they care to continue on this site they will need to eventually bring their prices down...and they will. Our next big additions will be friends and groups and I think this will help the excellent switchers better stay connected and in turn push more members in this direction because they want to switch things and in order to do this they need to be a part of this group of active and honest switchers. Stay active on the forums and keep your feedback coming because it really helps keep me motivated to make this place better everyday. Find those switchers who are like yourself and are just here to switch at fair prices and hopefully very soon we will give you a couple tools to help you keep track of them.
