"3.18 Refreshing sexy comedy, Fun Irish accent, Worth a light hearted watch and laughs! ...Also for the Kate Hudson fan..."
- Phoenix, gave it a 3/5
If you think that the only thing impish Kate Hudson (Almost Famous) lacks is a lilting Irish accent, this movie is for you. In About Adam Hudson plays Lucy, the youngest daughter of a middle-class Irish family, who thinks she's found the perfect guy. Adam (Stuart Townsend) not only brings flowers and takes her on romantic getaways, he even gets along with her family. Just at the moment when the sweetness of their romance seems intolerable, it turns out that he's also been romancing Lucy's sister Laura (Frances O'Connor from Mansfield Park and A.I.), for whom he's constructed an entirely different personality. And this is only the first of a series of secrets unveiled and eventually uncovered by the third sister, Alice (Charlotte Bradley). The story of About Adam isn't particularly believable, but its entertaining exploration of desire and self-delusion rings true. --Bret Fetzer - Amazon.com
